Greetings from the Mayor

Welcome to the City of Parkersburg and thank you for visiting our new website! If you have not done so already, please take a few minutes to learn more about us and all our community has to offer.

The website was designed to make City services more accessible to the general public. For instance, if you are a new resident and want to participate in the City’s recycling program, that information (including drop-off locations and curbside service) is now available online. The same is true for people wanting start a new business venture in the community or take advantage of one of the City’s many housing programs.

Another new feature is MY PKB. Similar to Instagram, MY PKB will enable residents and visitors to post pictures online. These include special occasions like weddings and class reunions, as well as special events and community service projects. Our goal is to build a repository of pictures and stories that celebrate everything that makes Parkersburg a great place to live, work and play.

Greetings from the City Council President

Welcome to the City of Parkersburg. In an effort to be more efficient, a lot of information, regarding City services, is now available online. As a resident and small business owner, I believe you will find the site to be very helpful.

While our community has been through a lot in the past few months, I’m confident we’re moving in a positive direction. A lot of development projects are taking shape and the City is getting its financial house in order. I want to thank Mayor Colombo for his leadership and City staff for their hard work and dedication. Going forward, I will strive to make government more transparent and encourage people to get involved in the planning process.

Thank you for visiting our new website.
